Sorry, sorry, sorry.
My internet allowance ran out (you Aussies know what I mean) which meant I couldn’t tweet, email or update the blog. But, I have sorted out the issues and this radio silence will never happen again (God willing).
Since I missed ‘Best of the Week’ on Friday, I’ll give you my favourite articles for now, and you can have a real post tomorrow. Sound good?
Blue September Campaign – Blue Sox. The Sydney Blue Sox are joining the Blue September campaign to fundraise and raise awareness for men’s cancer. I am personally a Movember fan, but I can’t not support a good cause! Details about how to get involved at the link!
Who Cares About Doping, the Armstrong Brand is Stronger Than Ever – Forbes, John Clark. No matter what you think about Lance being stripped of his medals, the fact is that it hasn’t hurt the brand. He gets to keep his contracts and sponsorship is up. It makes me wonder what this means for other sports…
Is the $60 Million Fine Too Steep For Penn State? – IJSF. This is like beating a dead horse, but I am still so enthralled with the Penn State case. I am completely fascinated with the issues with the NCAA and the fine and players being allowed to transfer schools… it’s amazing. And I love this article on the financial implications.
Cadbury’s Olympic Sports Sponsorship Leads To 2.5 Million Social Media Fans – Sports Networker, Mark Burns. Social media is fascinating to me, especially nowadays with the internet and things going viral. This is an interesting story on what happened to Cadbury (I love their chocolate) during their time as an Olympic and Paralympic sponsor
How Do I Follow Up With My Network? – Classy Career Girl, Anna Runyan. I just really like the question and her answer. Especially since I’m building my network. To any and all of my readers: let me know if you’d like to have coffee and chat!
Again, sorry I vanished. I will watch my internet limit more carefully from now on!
